First Wax Brand Review- Devon Wick

Overview

The first brand to be reviewed is my current favourite, Devon Wick.  I discovered this brand on Facebook – probably a tailored add due to the previously mentioned ‘smelly thing’ addiction.  They are an eco-friendly brand, using soy based wax to create their melts.  I have tried a huge number of fragrances from this range so I’ll review three fragrances from my latest delivery.  All wax bars come in a paper wrapper, I’m not sure if this is recycled material or not.  The bars themselves are all white in colour, with varying colours of glitter through the wax.  I use two squares each time I use the wax.

I love this scent, a new favourite!  It has what I would describe as a fresh linen smell with notes of lilly and jasmine, reminds me of getting into a freshly changed bed.  This is a
particularly strong and long-lasting scent. 4/5.


Wax Melts - Snow Pixie

I should probably mention at this point I also have a small addiction to Lush bath products, so
I absolutely love this scent.  It is a sweet scent with notes of candyfloss and vanilla.  The smell is quite strong initially but doesn’t last as long as some of the other fragrances. 3/5


Wax Melt - Coconut Milk & Lavender
Coconut Milk & Lavender

This is a much more delicate smell than the previous scents.  There are base notes of vanilla
and musk that work well with the fresh lavender smell.  This would be perfect for the bathroom or bedrooms. 4/5


Cost

There are various other offers detailed throughout the website, one that has been in place as long as I have been purchasing the products is the 5 snap bars for £10.  The usual price is £3.00 per snap bar.  Overall i think the products are great value for money.

Third Wax Brand Review - Balneaves

  Overview The third brand to be reviewed is Balneaves.  I honestly can't remember how i found this brand but i would suspect i spotted it on social media of some kind.  This was probably the first brand, other than the usual well known brands, that i tried.  This is a small family run business, based in the Scottish Borders.  Again, this brand focuses on being eco friendly.  They use only soy wax which is considered a much more eco friendly choice than paraffin wax (which is a byproduct of crude oil).  Soy wax is made purely from soy beans.  This brand is also vegan friendly and cruelty free.  I'm an animal lover, so cruelty free is a must for any of my purchases.
